The future of retail was uncertain at the start of the pandemic. Most stores, many of them nonessential, closed. The “malling” routine had ceased. Restrictions on movement outside the home were aplenty. Customers were uncomfortable to venture out to shop even for essentials, for good reason.
Rockwell embraced these challenges early on. It recognized the need to recreate the pleasurable and relaxed shopping experience everyone knew, for people who were not yet comfortable with leaving the homes to shop. Safety and convenience became overarching principles for mall operations.
In time for the holidays, Rockwell launched shop. therockwellist.com, an e-commerce website covering a unique selection of brands, all Rockwell mall favorites. Frankie and Friends, Bacchus, Whisenhunt, and even the crowd-drawer Baker’s Dozen. The site allows customers to purchase everything that they need in one go and shop safely from home. To make thoughtful gifting a breeze, items are categorized for special people in your life.
On therockwellist.com, the perfect presents are offered for those who constantly stress during the gifting season: The Rockwellist eGift, or electronic gift certificates. The eGifts are valid in any Rockwell retail property such as Power Plant Mall, Santolan Town Plaza, The Grove Retail Row, Arton Strip, East Bay Retail Row, and the Rockwell Business Centers in Ortigas and Sheridan.
They come in a variety of denominations ranging from P500, P1,000, P3,000, P5,000 to P10,000. The deal gets better, too! Customers get a free Rockwellist eGift worth P1,000 when they purchase a P10,000 denomination from Oct. 30 to Jan. 31, 2021.

While some prefer to shop from home, others still yearn for the same brick and mortar experience. But they still desire a hassle-free day at the mall, especially with all the holiday fuss and pandemic concerns. Rockwell’s answer: The Rockwellist Mobile App, which was launched to the public on Nov. 30.
The app offers further conveniences for Rockwell patrons, like skipping parking queues, purchasing goods via cashless transactions, viewing store schedules, and booking a restaurant table in advance. App users will also be
delighted to shop for more, as the mobile wallet offers a cashback promo in partnership with PayMaya, where customers can win as much as P250,000 when they spend at least P2,000!
With the app’s mobile wallet, shopping can be a lot more exciting since customers also get a free Rockwellist Tote for a minimum spend of P5,000. The tote can also be purchased from The Rockwellist Post, a gifting and delivery station located on the R1 Level (near Signet).
Filling up forms for contact tracing can be a bane. Starting Dec. 12, Rockwell will make it much easier for shoppers by just requiring one QR code for contact tracing to enter Rockwell establishments. Time is most precious during Christmas. Hence, a smoother journey will now be possible through the HealthBadge.
All shoppers have to do is register once on contacttracing.therockwellist.com, click on “Get HealthBadge,” save the QR code on their phones, and then present it to the authorized personnel of any store for scanning before entering.
This code is valid in Power Plant Mall, Santolan Town Plaza, East Bay Retail Row, Rockwell Business Center -Sheridan, and Arton Strip. It surely takes away the pain of having to fill out every tracing form from store to store.
