AllValue: Innovating the retail landscape amid the pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we shop. A lot of consumers have turned to online market places to purchase their retail needs especially in the early days of the lockdowns when more travel restrictions were in place.

But as the economy gradually opens up, and travel restrictions in most areas have been eased, some consumers are opting to shop again in physical stores. However, not everyone has the confidence yet to go outside and some consumers may have also discovered how convenient it is to shop online.

AllHome’s growing store network continues its push to bring world-class and comprehensive home shopping experience to more communities, especially during the pandemic.

With all of these shifting trends among consumers, only retailers that have the ability to adapt to the needs of their customers are the only ones that can survive in this pandemic — and AllValue Holdings Corp., the retail unit of the Villar Group is one of them.

From providing supermarket needs and home repair essentials to providing your coffee fix and now even the trending indoor plants, All Value is present in almost every segment of the retail landscape and has even expanded its reach amid the pandemic as it brought its stores closer to its consumers.

Closer to communities

An advantage of the Villar Group is having its retail stores closer to communities created by its property development arm Vista Land and Lifescapes, Inc., as this was a target of the company even before the pandemic.

An example of this is the AllDay chain of supermarkets, minimarts and convenience stores. Since first opening its doors in 2014, AllDay Supermarket now has 22 locations, while its mini-supermarket concept currently operates three Vista communities in Cavite.

Touted as one of the most Instagrammable cafes in the world, Coffee Project brings a unique experience to its customers.

There are also 76 AllDay Convenience stores, strategically located in Vista Land developments, school, transit and business district sites all over the country.

AllDay stores aim to provide Filipinos an upgraded, refreshed and world-class grocery experience with not just grocery needs but through food hubs Gastroville and Paluto as well as bakery Bake My Day.

“Our stores take pride in providing the convenience of having everything a family needs and elevating that experience — beautiful stores, the international flavors of our Gastroville food hubs and just-the-way-you-like-it Paluto food service that redefines cooking,” AllDay said.

Gastroville is a food hub that takes shoppers on a flavorful trip around the world, while AllDay Supermarket’s Paluto features a section that lets shoppers take their freshest purchases and turn them into delightful meals — which you can enjoy in-store or at home.

While Bake My Day first started within an AllDay Supermarket in 2017 it has since grown to open 21 branches in three years and it is mainly located inside Vista Malls and Starmalls.

Bake My Day offers a wide variety of freshly baked goods like croissants, loaves, danish, muffins, cakes and more. Each product is a masterpiece freshly prepared by professional chefs.

Further boosting convenience to customers amid the pandemic, AllDay has launched a personal shopper service, which can be simply done by sending in your grocery list via Viber and personal shoppers will do the groceries for you.

To avail of the service, all you have to do is contact any AllDay Supermarket branch through Viber to receive an order form. Simply accomplish the order form and send it back to your personal shopper from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“He or she will then pick your items and contact you with your total bill. Your grocery items are delivered the next day, guaranteed. It doesn’t get much simpler than that! Payment is also simple,” AllDay said.

More ways to shopfor home needs

Apart from bringing its stores closer to its consumers, the AllValue has leveled up convenience amid the pandemic, as AllHome, its one-stop, all-home-needs shop, now offers four ways for customers to shop for their home and hardware needs while still being safe and enjoying the comforts of their home.

One option for shoppers is to visit allhomeclick.com and browse through AllHome’s products, at their website, add to cart, and check out.

Customers can also chat with an AllHome personal shopper on Viber, who will answer their inquiries.

Further boosting convenience, AllHome also offers a curbside pickup option wherein, you can just park, call for your personal shopper, and wait for them to load your purchased items in your truck.

In addition, AllHome also has a Viber Community, where customers can find promos and hot items.

For construction and hardware needs, customers can also chat and order from AllHome Builders Centre Shopping Community.

Just like the AllDay brand, AllHome has expanded its presence across the country, with 47 stores nationwide to date.

Builder’s Centre

AllHome Builder’s Centre Evia is the newest addition to AllHome’s growing roster of stores. With a total floor area of almost 2,500 sqm, the newest store houses a wide selection of new and contemporary tile designs, modern sanitary wares, hardware items and comprehensive building material offerings.

With wider aisles and higher shelves for proper storage and space maximization, this new location is tailor-fit to builders and contractors. AllHome’s exclusive in-house brands, such as Rossio, Lustro, Brauhn, Finestra, are bannered alongside top-selling brands, all sourced directly from local and foreign suppliers, ensuring both competitive pricing and top quality for customers.

Providing your daily coffee fix

For a lot of us who are currently working from home due to the pandemic, there might be instances when we feel like we aren’t in our most conducive environment.

Sometimes, it feels like you just need a little bit of a change of scenery to refresh your mind and boost your productivity.

In times you feel this way, there’s always a Coffee Project branch ready to serve you for a quick change of environment.

“Every coffee outlet of the Coffee Project is filled with flowers and greens to create a happy and vibrant mood among customers.  They made use of mood lights and comfortable seating pieces to create a sense of personal space for each customer,” Coffee Project said.

Coffee Project stores also offer areas for the individuals who are just passing the time, long tables for those who may have a meeting, and comfortable sofas for groups who are just hanging out.

At present, there are already 47 Coffee Project branches across the country.

As not everybody may be comfortable with dining out at a coffee shop just yet, Coffee Project also offers delivery services to bring your daily dose of coffee to you. This is available through its website, www.shop.coffeeproject.com.ph or Facebook and Instagram at @coffeeprojectofficial.

Introducing new concepts

The pandemic is not stopping AllValue from exploring new concepts. This can be seen with the recent introduction of health, beauty and wellness store AllGreen.

AllGreen, is the new haven in the south where customers can shop everything health, beauty, wellness and more — from pharmacy essentials to health and beauty must-haves, even food cravings on-the-go.

It aims to create a more sustainable and more ethical lifestyle with carefully curated products perfect for customers’ daily needs and regimen.

AllGreen is located at Evia Lifestyle Center, Daang Hari Road, Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City.

The store is bursting with earth tones — wooden shelves, green walls and plants, and a touch of radiant lighting giving off a homey vibe and a nature-inspired look.

“AllGreen believes that a simple and conscious lifestyle helps to create a happy life,” AllGreen said.

Catering to trending concepts

While we’ve been spending most of our time at home these days, caring for indoor plants has become a popular hobby for Filipinos. AllValue has taken notice of this trend and aims to cater to the needs of plantitas and plantitos with Green Centrale.

Green Centrale is a plant retail shop formed as an online store under Greenscapes Plus Philippines Inc., an established landscaping company since 2009. It offers a wide variety of plants including indoor, outdoor, air plants, and hanging plants.

They also offer various products related to gardening and plant care such as plant racks and pot collections.

Green Centrale is available on Facebook and Instagram. It is also available at www.allhomeclick.com.

It also has physical pop-up stores located at NOMO, Evia, Vistamall Sta. Rosa and, very soon, at Vistamall Taguig.

While the pandemic has indeed resulted in a change in consumer preferences, AllValue has proven its commitment to the markets it serves as it continues to cater to the changing needs of consumers.

With its already wide presence in the country’s retail landscape, AllValue continues to expand its reach to customers as it innovates its offerings as well as introduces new concepts. This is proof that no pandemic can stop AllValue from growing.
